Mini Review: To all the boys I've loved before

Sixteen-year-old Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren’t love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she’s written. One for every boy she loved – five in all. Until the day her secret letters are mailed and suddenly, Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control.

My Thoughts
When Lara Jean wants to get over a boy she writes a love letter and pours her heart and soul into it, saying things she would never say out loud then buries them away in her hatbox. There are 5 letters in all; one for the most popular boy in school and her first kiss Peter, two other boys from school Lucas and John, a boy from camp Kenny and the next door neighbour Josh, who just so happens to me her older sisters Margot boyfriend.
One day all the letters get mail to all the five boys without her knowledge and Lara Jean has to deal with the fall out of all the boys reading her letters and learning about her feelings for them.

This was a pretty fun read for me or should I say re-read. I read this book years ago but couldn’t remember the details, so I decided to read it again, and I think I enjoyed it, even more, the second time around. Some of the scenarios Lara Jean finds herself in is laugh out loud hilarious.

Some of the things I loved the most about this book is the family dynamics and the sisterhood bond between Margot, Lara Jean and Kitty. Lara Jean is a hopeless romantic….and let's face it we all were at sixteen. Even though this was pretty much your cheesy teen story, it still draws you in, and the characters are fun and enjoyable.

This was a pretty easy read for me, I read it in one day and have already ordered the second book cause I’m so curious to see where Jenny Han is going with the storyline and the characters.

Of course, I’m not going into details about this book because Netflix is releasing the movie in two days….you heard me correctly….Netflix in two days.

Happy Reading!!!
